This illustration depicts a stylized rendition of the main character from the popular american anime mini-series "Afro Samurai". The animation style in "Afro Samurai" has long since been a huge inspiration for the artist's own illustration and a major reason why he started animating in the first place. This piece was created to be reminiscent of propaganda posters, especially around the time of WWII.

This illustration was created to resemble a propaganda poster one would find created by an oppressive regime that is worried about traitors, spies, or a specific group of people telling you to watch out and be vigilant, but instead tell you that everything is fine. This piece was created to show people's common misconceptions with propaganda, in that people believe it is inherently negative in tone. However blissful propaganda is just as dangerous and definitely more wide spread. People in power want the people supporting them to be ignorant and complaisant so they can maintain power, however a prosperous society can only come from the minds of the educated masses.

This logo was meant to be clean and simple, and able to be overlaid on many images and backgrounds while still maintaining legibility. The typeface's smooth curves are meant to evoke a feeling of comfort and natural structures, as well as the smooth curvature and transitions of the ocean's waves, while its hard edges are meant to maintain a sense of modernity and show that Ocean Grown is situated firmly within the current progressive day and age.

This illustration was created as a spread for a zine that was meant to stand as a symbol for the artist them self. For this piece the artist decided to have almost no text and basically only illustration to represent himself, as he sees himself mostly as an illustrator, depicting only the name of the artist. This is also the artist expressing his opinion that any viewer could learn more about him as an artist from this drawing then they could from all of the text that will fit on the page.

This illustration was created as an advertisement for a neuroscience speaker series panel. It was created to depict the idea that the only thing that sepereates humans from machines is a complex, conscious, and self-aware mind. By depicting a robot with a human's brain acting in a spiritual manor it illustrated that the only thing you need to transcend cold logic is complex mind.

This illustration was created as an advertisement for a University of San Francisco viewing party of their upcoming game against Gonzaga University. It was created to look festive and bright, while maintaining the school's branding colors, and evoking the "who is going to win" feeling of suspense that draws people to sports events.
Bouldt & Son's Packaging Design - 2016. Digital Print.
This packaging design was created for Bouldt and Son's Canna-Drops, hand-made Victorian style marijuana infused medicated candy drops. It was created to evoke the feeling of an elixir that the traveling salesman in the 1800's might carry, only this comes with real medical benefits. The frame and everything withing were all drawn by hand with a ballpoint pen by the artist himself.
